Dr. Rajaram and Dr. Shrivastava founded Heart
& Vascular Specialists of Oklahoma after working as cardiologists
in the Oklahoma City metro area for almost 20 years. They combined
their expertise in order to bring a higher level of patient care to
Oklahoma City, and surrounding areas, such as Shawnee, McAlester,
Edmond, Midwest City and more.
Our mission is to provide patients with
state-of-the-art care and careful, individual attention. We strive
to ensure that each patient receives the care necessary to maintain
a healthy life. As interventional specialists, we not only want
your heart to be healthy, but we want to help you stay healthy for
years to come.
Dr. Rajaram is board certified in
cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine, and received his
medical degree from Thanjavur Medical College, Thanjavur, India. He
completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at Temple
University Medical Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Prior to
that, he completed a three year fellowship in cardiology at LSU
Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. He also completed
a cardiomyopathy fellowship program (specialized training for
managing patients with heart failure) at Boston University Medical
Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Rajaram is a member of the American Heart
Association, American College of Cardiology and the Society of
Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. During his career,
Dr. Rajaram has authored a number of journal articles and research
papers on cardiovascular issues and general internal medicine
topics. He has had formal training in research methodology (Masters
in clinical research) from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. He
plans to pursue clinical research which will provide access to
cutting edge technology for our community. Dr. Rajaram specializes
in interventional cardiology, coronary artery disease, and
peripheral vascular disease. He also brings expertise in
prevention, treatment and management of heart

Dr. Rakesh Shrivastava is board certified in
cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine. He specializes in
interventional cardiology, helping his patients make strides to
stay away from surgical repairs.
Dr. Shrivastava graduated from Patna Medical
College and performed his residency Illinois Masonic Medical
Center, Chicago, IL. He completed his
fellowship in General Cardiology at Lousiana State University
Health Sciences, Shreveport, LA. He also completed a fellowship in
Interventional Cardiology at University of Kansas Medical Center,
Kansas City. KS.
Dr. Shrivastava is prepared to provide
specialized care for the heart and cardiovascular system in
patients. Some of the conditions treated by Dr. Shrivastava may
include high blood pressure and cholesterol levels, complications
of diabetes, heart disease, general chest pains, and other
